This article explains how to update your password on a MacBook computer after a password change using Okta.

While logged into your MacBook with your old password, forget the Aims Secure WiFi network.

Connect to the on-campus wired or Aims Secure WiFi (use your new password). If remote, connect to VPN through GlobalProtect.

From the Finder menu, click Lock Screen.

Unlock using your new password

From the Finder menu, click Restart.

Log in with your new password

You should receive the following pop-up message the next time you connect to the Aims wired network: "The system was unable to unlock your login keychain."

Click Update Keychain Password. When prompted for a password, you will need to use your old one. If you cancel during this process, your keychain will be deleted.

If needed, you can update your keychain password manually.
